  • West District (Front, Prospect & Days Park, Symphony & Ferry Circles) | October 12, 6:00pm-7:30pm, First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo, 1 Symphony Circle, Buffalo, NY 14201, Explore Buffalo Classroom (2nd floor). Featuring a tour of the historic church at 5:30pm, thanks to Explore Buffalo!
  • South District (Cazenovia & South Parks, McClellan & McKinley Circles, McKinley & Red Jacket Parkways) | October 19, 5:30pm- 7:00pm, Tosh Collins Community Center, 35 Cazenovia St, Buffalo, NY 14210

What is the Olmsted Community Alliance?

Purpose of the Olmsted Community Alliance (OCA)

  • Build representation from every Olmsted park district
  • Provide opportunities for community dialogue, feedback and input throughout the Olmsted parks
  • Enhance collaboration and awareness between BOPC, park neighbors and community partners
  • Increase public knowledge of BOPC’s role and mission for Buffalo’s historic landscapes

Overall Strategy and Commitment of the OCA and BOPC

  • Members of the OCA and BOPC to meet quarterly at park district meetings
  • Members of the OCA to commit to sharing what they learn with their network and community
  • Members of the OCA to relay feedback to and from their community to BOPC
  • BOPC to send monthly email to OCA members with news, reports, updates, events, call-to-actions relating to their park district and systemwide

  • Attend the upcoming OCA meeting for your district(s). Meetings are scheduled to occur quarterly throughout the year
