M&T Bank and Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy presents the 2nd Saturday Walking Tour Around Hoyt Lake!
From great white and great blue herons to the site of the long-gone Spire Head gazebo, there are many features to discover in Delaware Park. Fans of “Gala Water,” as the lake was originally called, are invited to view its sights and learn its history and lore at the 2nd Saturday Walking Tours Around Hoyt Lake.
Two 90-minute tours will depart from the grand staircase at Lincoln Parkway and Hoyt Lake. To ensure a great experience for every attendee, each walking tour is capped at 10 participants.
Tour Dates:
May 11 – led by historian Jim Mendola
June 8 – led by historian Jim Mendola
July 13 – led by Conservancy staff Zhi Phua
August 10 – led by historian Jim Mendola
Tour Schedule (2 tours per date):
Morning tour: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon tour: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
