One of six cultural institutions in the Olmsted park system, the Buffalo Museum of Science traces its history back to 1836. Its historic building at MLK Jr. Park officially opened in 1929 and today serves as the hub for scientific exploration and family fun, featuring over 700,000 specimens and permenant and visiting exhibits.
