A NEW FAMILY FRIENDLY FILM SET IS COMING TO TOWN. THE BUFFALO OLMSTED PARKS CONSERVANCY (BOPC) HAS PARTNERED WITH WEGMANS FOOD MARKETS TO BRING TWO OUTDOOR FILM SHOWINGS TO SHAKESPEARE HILL.
Hopefully if the summer film set is a big success, we will see more fun film viewings presented on “The Hill” in years to come.
After all, Shakespeare Hill is the perfect viewing spot for outdoor films. The two-film line-up for this summer is as follows:
- Shrek – Monday, July 10, 2017
- Bee Movie – Monday, August 14, 2017
These movie viewings are weather dependent, and will begin at dusk. Viewers should bring picnic blankets, and/or low portable chairs. These events are made possible thanks to audio video support from Shakespeare in the Park’s technicians. The Parkside Community Association is also to thank for lending the projection screen.
Please refer to the BOPC’s Facebook and/or Twitter pages for more information on the Wegmans supporting sponsorships and events, and stay tuned to those social outlets as well should the weather be a question on the day of movie screening.
