A New Family Fun Film Set Free for All to Enjoy
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy (BOPC) has partnered with Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. to conduct a brand new summer film set at Shakespeare Hill in Delaware Park. The first film, Shrek, is scheduled to screen on Monday, July 10, 2017, and the second film, Bee Movie, is scheduled on Monday, August 14, 2017. Both films will begin at dusk and are weather dependent.
The BOPC is proud to collaborate with Wegmans Food Market, Inc. on this fun new initiative in Delaware Park, with the focus on family bonding and community outreach. Viewers are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or low portable chairs. Audio Visual support is being serviced in partnership with Shakespeare in the Park’s technicians, and the projection screen used is being loaned by the Parkside Community Association.
Wegmans additionally sponsors the walking and audio history tours of the Japanese Garden at Delaware Park, and will be featuring special guided tours during Garden Walk week on both the 29th and 30th of July.

Six parks: Cazenovia Park in South Buffalo, Delaware Park in Delaware/Parkside District, Front Park at the Peace Bridge, Martin Luther King, Jr. Park at Fillmore Avenue, Riverside Park at Niagara and Tonawanda Street, and South Park at McKinley Parkway
Seven parkways: Bidwell, Chapin, Lincoln, McKinley, Porter, Red Jacket, and Richmond
Eight landscaped traffic circles: Agassiz, Colonial, Ferry, Gates, McClellan, McKinley, Soldiers, and Symphony
